Tai Chi affects individuals in different ways; however, the movements are specifically designed to improve circulation and promote balance in body, mind, and spirit.

The set is comprised of many postures and in-between movements. It may take anywhere from 6 months to a few years to feel confident while practicing the set. However, right from the very beginning, you will start to feel benefits. It’s not essential to have complete knowledge of each move; what matters is gaining an understanding of the balance and energy within each movement. Like an onion, each layer leads to another. Your goal is quality over quantity. Focus on this, instead of ‘Knowing the Set.’

Loose clothing that allows stretching. Stretchy pants, sweatpants, or shorts.
Flat shoes with flat outer soles are best. Some arch support is important. Runners are okay but not as good.

Please breathe regularly. Don’t stop!
This form does not place a specific emphasis on breathing, as it is considered a natural process that the body instinctively manages. The primary focus is on performing the exercises, consistent practice, and, most importantly, relaxation.
